By Susan Sherren for Couture Trips Published 6/28/21 11:35 am CST ![]() If you're a vaccinated tourist travelling to Hawaii, the process will get much simpler beginning July 8th, 2021. The state will end its pre-travel COVID-19 testing requirements due to the high level of vaccinated locals. Hawaii Gov. David Ige said Thursday, "travellers will need to show their vaccine card as well as upload it to the state's Safe Travels website". Ige has been waiting for the state to reach a threshold of 60% of residents vaccinated before lifting the pre-travel testing requirements. It is projected that the state will meet this goal before July 8, 2021. This change will make visiting Hawaii a bit simpler. Mask requirements are also being dropped for outside activities.
